Revival Town builds 28 homes in war torn Gulu, Uganda
The Northern Region of Uganda has been ravaged by a conflict that has lasted nearly two decades. Innocent women and children have been victimized in some of the most horrific ways thinkable. More than 7000 children used to walk hours each night to find a safe place to sleep; they call these young ones the “Night Commuters”. The situation has changed much in the last year. Gunfire and fear no longer echo through the streets. Yet the task to rebuild is ahead of us. The United Nations and other Aid organizations have moved in to help keep peace and rebuild the lives of hundreds of thousands of God’s beautiful people. There are people living in displacement camps, some as large as 50,000. Many have been there so long that they have forgotten how to farm and live from the land as they did before.
We are excited to announce that 30 young mothers in Africa will have their very own first home. These precious girls (child-mothers) have weathered some of the most horrific trials imaginable and are now looking forward to a new life. With your help we have changed lives forever in Africa.

The History of Gulu and the 18 year old war
Mothers all over the world have hopes and dreams for their children. In ordinary circumstances, such hopes and dreams often come true. However, that cannot be said of the child-mothers in Northern Uganda.
They were children themselves — now child-mothers, created by an 18-year-old war between President Museveni and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) led by Joseph Kony.
Young children living at the Vilage of Hope

These mothers are teenagers who, while still little girls, were abducted from their beds at gunpoint, and forced to “serve” the rebel forces soldiers. They have been rescued, or escaped with their children, and are in desperate need of a safe place to live and raise their children, obtain healing, become educated, and learn a trade.

The RTM Village of Hope
The Village of Hope is a safe haven that many young mothers will now call there home. These young girls will now have a home, meal preparation areas, bathrooms, clean water, security and biblical teaching. There dreams will come true as they can live in freedom, raising their children in a safe and prosperous environment.
Now these precious children of God will not need to fear the terror of the night but they can now start to repair their lives. As these mothers live together in community they will be able to help each other cope with the past will encouraging each other to believe for a brighter future.
Thank you for your love and support. You will be making an incredible impact in the lives of thousands in Africa and we will share in the harvest together. This children of Africa thank you!!
1.2 billion children today are at risk due to poverty, homelessness, child labor, slavery, sexual exploitation, aids, plagues, and war.
This must not be ignored
“It is poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”
Mother Teresa ~ 1910 – 1997 Founder of Missionaries of Charity
Christ is the answer!!! When we look at the staggering numbers of children that are suffering today it is easy to get overwhelmed and feel defeated. Yet, each one of us can play a vital role in being the answer to some young child’s desperate prayer. We must aggressively reach out to help the helpless.
The James 1:27 Call
Take care of orphans and widows. Keep yourself unstained from the world. Could this challenge still be echoing in our land today? Thank you for answering the call!!
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27
